I’ve been working on this project for several months on and off, and I got it all together this weekend, only to find out the plans I purchased online, are not accurate, and is going to require a significant modification. But that’s another post for later.
I find a diversion sometimes helps to get my mind off it, then tackle it later with perhaps a new prospective. So that’s what this is. I bought this HF pocket jig last week with a 20% off coupon, and seems to work pretty good. I’m just a poor mans shop and can’t afford the “blue” stuff.
It’s just a scrap piece of 1/2” I had lying around. The jig can be used on the plywood, with plenty of room in front for clamps. Two wing nuts hold it to the base. I hot glued the screw and bit container to the wood, and placed a positive latch on the lid, so I don’t have to trust those cheap plastic tabs to keep the lid closed. The portable accessory jig is just held on with a wing nut. Two holes on the side allow me to hang it on the peg board.
