A Christmas present for my niece. She had a similar one her wish list that was out of a magazine. I didn’t think that it looked to hard. The only thing that I had to purchase was the black stain for the mane and bridle. I had the pine wood from leftovers. They were charging $50 for the one in the magazine.

I sketched the lines freehand and then went over them with a router. It was finished with ebony, english chestnut, and early american stains, followed by two coats of high-build poly. This was my first attempt with the splayed legs.
