This started out as scrapwood/leftover project and turned into a great little porject to work on with my daughter Hannah who is 4 years old…
I used all recycled wood that my father in law gave me…the roof tiles are old paneling…the wood is ( i think from old drawers). I started out just wanting to use a new set of finishing nail guns I bought…and then it sat forever…
I still want to go back and add some painted stencilng to dress it up a bit…notice the NEW redwood gate is was sitting on for the photo…i still need to place it on a post to cat proof it…
I made one BIG blunder when I made the walls first…and had to add a triangle for the roof line…so the front is in two seperate pieces…but it looks ok with the paint…PINK…hannah’s choice of course…
Oscorner…the extra photo—-the PAINTED PICNIC table is for you…

It will be a great memory for her. I still remember all the times my grandfather brought me into his shop when he was working. I think the birds will enjoy a new pink house. Try to post a pic when they move in :)

Great job, Hannah!
Just out of curiosity, what technique did you use to shape the roof tiles?

Your daughter is very cute, and the bird house is great.
I bet that female birds will move into the house (pink).
