Cutting boards 2009. Or at least the first batch. You’ve got your Spagnoulos and your basic random patterns, and a larger chop block. These are gifts for friends, family, and co-workers. Lots of stock left over so we’ll be making these through the New Year.
One of the interesting things about making these is how the dimensions of the surface actually grows (lengthens). Since the final crosscuts determines the thickness, and the initial thickness determines the width of the square’s top surface, any dimension that is less than the initial thickness plus a saw kerf will stretch the overall length allowing you to get several smaller boards out of the process.
