This is another project that a client handed me a magazine photo and said can you do that? After scaling the photo I realized the orig. was 8’ tall and 6’ wide. After some refiguring I got it down to 5’ by 6’ approx. Fun part was finding a supplier for the beaded/dentil/crown. Took 3 weeks and $3 a foot to order and get.

My painter proved my point with his brush work that.”Painters make carpenters look like Gods!”

GRZZONE
I figured, if your like me, in posting a variety of these pieces it’s not the intent to show off or pull compliments/attaboys but to help others with ideas. I’m here perrusing member gallerys for the same thing, ideas.
Not so much to replacate but to cataloge in this pea brain of mine for future intigration into one of my projects.

Amazing job. You have some serious talent. Looks fantastic. I would say you’re a lot more than a guy with a hammer. Whether or not you prefer that style or color, that is excellent work and it turned out great. Tim

JAGWAH, you may not be looking for compliments or attaboys, but I still have to compliment you on your craftsmanship and attention to fine detail. I have found most fireplace mantles can be a challenge, especially when the customer hands you a picture and wants theirs to look like that. ( and it’s up to us to make that design work in their restricted space.) lol. I’m glad you shared that with us and I too like to plant ideas in the back of my head for future reference. Hope you will share more of your talent and experience with us.

Thanks for sharing. It’s always good to get ideas from somebody who posts projects like this.

Fun note about this mantle. The picture above it the owner paid over $4000.00 for. He likes Kinkaid paintings.
He said my bid of $1850.00 sounded high but reluctantly agreed. After all was done his wife said my mantle outshown his painting. 8) He didn’t like that. I sure the hell did.
