Decided to give it a shot, first two picks are my first attempt at some boards, done a few months ago, made of scrap cherry, walnut and maple. The smaller one I only had thin pieces of walnut so I cut up the scraps I had to make all the pieces the same dimensions. We actually use the small one more. Used Marc’s (woodwhisper) salad bowl finish tech. and it really holds up well. Showed some pics at work and my boss asked if I could make one for his wife for Christmas. I figured it would be easier to make a few than just one and see if I could sell to coworkers. All walnut and maple, made a few sizes, the larger one I tried a subtle curve in the ends and I really like the way it looks. Put finger slots in the middle of the ends so you can use both sides of the boards and still pick it up, put in a juice grove in one side of the new boards. Last pick is a tray also from scrap, added some handles that were left over from a dresser project, mahogany and birch bottom.

Wow, got my head spinning! They look great, and I really like the curve you put on. It’s a very nice artistic touch.
