Photo of a bow saw a friend made in my workshop. Blade is from a 5/8” 3 TPI band saw blade. Frame is made of 3/4” pine plywood double stacked. Tensioning wire is 1/8” galvanized wire which I threaded on one end and tension with a nut.

Well Jim, the 2 of you did a nice job on this. Now you need to get him to carve his name and the date into it so that his grandkids can show it off on the Antiques Road Show someday.
