Maple Segmented Yarn Bowls

The latest batch of yarn bowls … these are all hard maple, 12-segment rings.

Each bowl is about 6” in diameter and about 5-1/2” high.

The ‘J’ slots and needle holes were cut with a spiral upcut router bit using a jig:

Beautiful segmented bowls. Now I know their purposes also by simillar projects from other turners here on LJ.
