Walnut; mortise and tenon rails and slats. Dark walnut stain and wax finish.

What I learned:
- walnut panels from 2-4” pieces look much nicer than I would expect
- knots on walnut are nice, too
- making sure the shelf doesn’t wobble won’t matter if you put a project in the house where the floor is uneven.

Walnut with knots is ‘character’ wood. Those defects only bring out the beauty that’s found in wood. I love your project.
