Wooden Model of an Aussie Classic,- Known here as the, ” Mighty Mack, ” – 550 hp V8 Diesel,- a very distinctive sound that one could hear coming from miles away !!

Model dimensions,- 380mm, ( 15” ) long x 127mm, ( 5” ) wide x 170mm, ( nearly 7” ) high. 9mm.(3/8” marine ply chassis, with the bonnet made from pine, & cabin & sleeper a mix of marine ply thicknesses. Finish- Gloss varnish with good quality Aluminum paint for the chrome on the tanks; bumper; roobar, etc. Air intake tops – Aussie Red Gum. Wheels,- 50mm. ( 2” ) lathe-turned. with rims painted in Aluminum & tyres,( tires ) painted black.

  • Last three photos show some of my own original artwork >> ( IF Allowed ), – For anyone interested & wishing they could also build a Wooden Model, ” Mighty Mack,” like this one, I am in the process of drawing up the Woodworking Plan, which will become No. 1 of a Series of Plans titled, ” Big Rigs. ” initially set to, 1:20 scale, then later, larger 1:15 scale wooden models with heaps more detail, plus can also be fitted during construction with working LED Lights;- Interested ?- Simply Message me for more info.

Pjonesy;- Dumb question,- How does one copy & paste as am NOT real good with computer stuff,- have more disasters than successes with most computer programs, or put it this way what is, ” simple,” for someone else, is a, ” nightmare ” for me !!!!
Wooden model making & wood craft design so much easier for me than all the computer stuff !!

Jim;- Thank you for the compliment, & for the welcome to Lumberjocks.

Wooden Models of Aussie Big Rigs & Road Trains is something I enjoy doing as there’s heaps of Aussie Truck Drivers who enjoy my work, & have either ordered & received their wooden model, or are on my very long list of waiting clients.

Over the coming weeks shall be showing some spectacular wooden model complete with working LED lights,- actually will be adding another project today.
