This week we got package from the US, the first thing my wife asks,
do you have order something in the America?
No I didn’t order anything (unfortunately) but what is this?
When I opened the package, I got the lovely smell from wood.
And than . . . . what is this, a beautiful made box from wood and than
I mean a really beautiful box.
I think it is better to look at the photos, than you know what I mean.

I heard from the maker that the box is made from the next types off wood:
the top is the Rosewood, (Indonesia) and the outside stripe is Padouk (Africa)
this wood is also called Vermilion, the white stripe is holly, (North America). the inner
stripe is Purpleheart (Brazil),
The little squares are Redheart (Africa ?), and the little plugs are Bubinga (Africa ).
The sides are Lacewood (Australia).
Inside: the sides is aromatic cedar (USA) and the top and bottom inside is maple.

He invented this design just for me.

Maybe you understand I’m VERY happy with this beautiful box and great present,
That someone wants to make this for me.

Thank you David, thank you, I will never forget this,

-- Greetings from the Netherlands.
