I built this smoker out of 3/4 oak I lined the bottom, bottom sides and half the door with heavy duty foil, not shown in the picture, I use a 1100 watt hot plate with wood chips its AMAZING ! this is my first smoker “experiment” I can get the temperature up 250 to 275 by adding a 2nd hot plate. I cooked salmon first to try it at 175 to 200 degrees then a slab of ribs at 250 degrees for 6 hours wow it worked great fall of the bone ! the flavor was amazing…

This is amazing to me. I have never seen a wooden smoker before. It would be nice to see pictures of the insiide while in use.

Happy 4th I cooked 2 slabs of ribs and about 8 hot links it came out amazing !!! I added a drip pan being held by steel brackets so the hot plate want burn under and the whole bottom inside and half the door is lined in heavy duty foil it worked great.
