Figured Redwood that has been bleached to lighten the color. Yes a knot in the side that has been filled with Ca and Mica powder. The piece is 12 inches tall. Does not yet have a finish on it.

Love that figured redwood! If the the grain could talk, what a story! I see this vase in a modern home just beaming with pride. Well done Ron.

I bought it in Redwood country in Northern Ca. I don’t have the name of the place.
