I found a hollow cedar log in the fall and kept it to make these birdhouses.I cut it in half and both ends were just the right size.It was cut on a slope so one has a sloped roof and the other has a flat roof.I hung them out yesterday hoping to get some winter guests.

I like your use of an old log to create a nice house for our feathered friends.
