Made another pellet trap. Left off the 1/4” plate steel back, and just used plywood- MUCH lighter. Yay!

Modified the angle on the light bar to light up more of the target at night.

Also reduced the size of the rubber mulch compartment to ensure that the mulch covers the shooting area to the top. Maybe a bit too much.. because it’s a bit difficult to change out the back boards now…

But it sure works well, and is a heck of a lot lighter now.

Didn’t fuss too much with filling and sanding and finish, since it’ll just get banged up and shot up. PROOF! I put two pellets in the light bar this evening!

Looks like it will do the job you aimed for!

Well the backboard that has all the holes in it is meant to be replaceable/disposable. When it gets a little more shot up, I’ll just slide it out of the top, and put a new one in there.

But yeah, the frame and the clamp block will eventually get a few shots into it, and may need to be replaced if it gets pounded too bad. But that won’t be hard to do either.

Good design. Looks like it should work as planned.

Not with this thing you won’t… That’s the beauty of it. The rubber mulch stops these pellets dead. It’s great for match targets and inside shooting.
