Corner Cabinets

Fun and time consuming corner cabinet project. Lower cabinets are larger than upper and topped with marble tile – the plan was to have the space usable for serving dishes and what not…but mostly turned into display areas.

I thought long and hard about the LED lighting in the upper cabinets and came up with wildly complicated setup you see in the pictures. I though by making and recessing my own LED lighting in the pattern shown would illuminate the cabinets evenly. End result: even lighting…but I really don’t like being able to see the lights. Perhaps it would have been best (and by FAR easier) to run the lights up the backside of the frames.

Doors made from scratch, with the glass simply held in place by caulk. Has worked great.

Awesome storage space below (can hold a lot of beverages and snacks!).

Your work is great; you may be a bit too critical about the lighting…
