I know what you’re thinking—-LH has way too much time on his hands. This ball has a 4.5 inch diameter and is made of soft maple, painted with chrome aluminum. Even the threaded nut. It is mounted to the existing 1-7/8” ball. On my 2012 GoldWing Motorcycle. BTW my wife and I are leaving Arizona this Saturday headed for Ohio, The Appalation Mtns. And then on to the Outer Banks. A 6500 mile motorcycle trip. Other photos of the last 3 of my GoldWings

I have to ask, are you going to tow a small trailer with you on the trip or is the hitch for for looks? I miss taking bike trips like you will be on. But that was years ago. How about more pictures of your bike

Yes—-I will be towing a trailer similar to your “01. I call it my wife’s make-up Kit.

Nice hitch and beautiful bikes. I live in the heart of the Shenandoah valley …..pretty much in the middle of the Appalachians. Have a great trip and pack an extra ball hitch.

Made a trailer for my 1078 Goldwing. Drove from Buffalo, NY to Fort Benton, MT in 1981. Before the trip was done, we drove 6K miles in 6 weeks. Sold the bike years ago when kids arrived, but still have the trailer!

Hey———-internet Police————The sight just gave me a Daily Top 3 . Besides I have seen all kinds of stuff posted here with non wood in the background, and the bike here is merely in the background.

Very cool, I’m sure it’s provoked more than a couple WTF comments from passers by. Reminds me once of a pintle hitch someone had put on a Prius as joke. Sounds like a sweet trip. I’ve got a Vulcan 2000LT and I’ve only been out of the state once, not even by that much. A Goldwing is my long term bike, but getting one right now when I have little time to ride, hope Honda doesn’t screw them up in the next 10 years, have fun on your ride!

Nice rides. Presently I own a 1979 CB 750 Model K Honda and a 1984 Goldwing Aspencade,

Also building a trike with a 2400 cc Chrysler motor. 165 horsepower should haul pretty nice on a trike weighing less than 500 kg, eh?
