Decided to get a second shop vac/cyclone system for by my husband’s lathe. We were debating how to design a stand that would fit the space we had…when we decided to repaint an old grill stand that seemed to be the perfect size. With some wooden supports etc we ended up with a great mobile stand that is a perfect fit. Still looking at designing a tool holder option for the left side.

Gotta love it when we find use for the old worn out items around the house..

Well done. These systems are absolutely incredible.

We now have two. I rarely even look at the vacuum…and when I do there is rarely anything to empty. Mine is an upright stand so it can roll between the work tables, etc in the shop.

Sounds like somebody may have a little Swiss blood? They never throw anything away! Great idea…saved the time/trouble of making a new one and saved some landfill space.

Oh…I’m a saver (and have found that to provide great project materials much to my husband’s amusement/dismay)...but background traces to Dutch rather than Swiss :)

Have your say...
