Made this last year, after I had bought a Grizzly Sliding top router table. Have a huge 3.5 hp router on it that sounds like a jet engine taking off. How hard can doors be to make I ask myself? Hard enough. This was my first completed piece with a door. There were several doors that just got made to get my sea legs under me. This also was my first working with quartersawn oak. This board was very loaded with all of the spots and stuff (not very technical I know). I used a tobacco colored wiping finish that I had from my days of working for Pennsylvania House Furniture. A great looking finish for oak. Several coats of 20 sheen pre-cat laquer! There is a movable shelf but I forgot to show it. Added a small porcelian knob to the door. This also got added to “file 13”. My wife claimed it as soon as she saw it. It’s a keeper. Thanks for looking.

I like that.
Looks like a fun project.
You did a great job.
I have been thinking of a 1st project for my son. I might use somthing like this but with a solid door.
Thanks for sharing it.
