Usonian Desk

This small desk is based on a design for the Sweeton House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1950. It is a typical furniture design for Wright’s Usonian style homes. Usonian furniture was typically made of plywood and solid wood, often by the carpentry crew or even the homeowner. There was no extra ornament applied; design relied on simple planes and surfaces. This is not an exact copy, but is very close to the original design (differences are primarily slightly changed dimensions). This desk was built to fill a need for a small simple desk for a college student.

Hope you enjoy, and thanks for looking.

Very nicely done! Looks like it will serve its purpose well.

I actually own the Sweeton Frank Lloyd Wright desk so if you need any dimensions and I can send them to you. You guys did a nice job of designing it!

Have your say...
