I wanted to make a simple but ok looking Tablet charging stand. I looked at designs out on lumberjocks and on Google images. With the basic ideas I picked up I went thru my scrap bins. Made the sides out of Oak legs from a stool I never finished. The walnut stretchers are from a board which came out of a tree in our backyard. I wanted this to be easy so I used pocket screws as the sole attachment method. I spaced the dowels at 2”. I made a shelf on the top to hold my Speaker and my phone. The 5 usb charger just sits under it. To round and sand the ends of the dowels I cut them long chucked them into my drill and sanded, then cut off the part the chuck dug into. Finish is just spray shellac probably 10-15 super light coats done 10 minutes apart. Only sanded to 150 no sanding post finishing. Thanks for looking.
