I had a call from a person who asked if I could make him this cabinet for his computer. What his needed was… because of his handicap and age he wanted to move his washer and dryer upstairs in his kitchen so he didn’t have to climb the stairs and also have the computer handy. In my pictures you can see what he had. Cluttered shelves and a cheap particle board shelving. In Sketch Up I proposed is the design as you can see.
From top to bottom:
This unit has top shelf to display some of his wife’s baskets. then cabinet for storing detergent for washer. Next is the printer shelf with pull shelf for scanner and WIFI router. Below that is the computer, screen and his cordless phone. Finally the next slide out shelf able’s him to pull out his keyboard and mouse. At the very bottom cabinet is the existing cabinet. Counter top had to be cut down.
This shelf unit is finished one sided plywood. Used edge banding to cover the plywood edge. Painted with primer and then final white paint. Used ball bearing full extension slides.
My client was very happy with the results.
