I made a jewelry box each two of my granddaughters. One is age 5 and the other 3, so I wanted to add a “secret” drawer but didn’t want the release to be too complex. One of the tray supports in each of the boxes isn’t glued in and is a sliding dovetail joint. Once that support is slid upward, it releases the drawer from the back of the case. Unfortunately, making this joint work “just right” caused me to have to assemble & take apart several times, causing the dovetail joints on the box to develop some looseness. I’ll get over it.

I like it a lot super cool design and great build. The angled corners and top really set it off.

Great job! I really like the figured wood & compound angles on the top, like Jim says it really sets it off.

Mike, it’s maple, except for the bottoms of the tray, box and drawer. Saved the most highly figured for the lids of course. Thanks

Fantastic job! Love the design and the secret drawer is a nice addition. Beautifull wood also.
Keep it up.
