Hey, folks, this was really an exercise to see if I could upload pics. If you’re seeing them, then I succeeded. On to the story of this piece. When I first moved in with the loml, we had a problem. The shelty/corgi whose pic I use for my signature developed a taste for catfood. She was real slick about it too. Wait until we turned our backs and emptied that bowl in a flash, then just nod her head at whichever cat was around. I was just finishing the cypress T&G ceiling in the last pic, but I kept all the culls. So I slapped this table together, put the catfood on top and dogfood on bottom, brushed off my hands and thought that was that.
The cat pictured had other ideas. She refused to jump up or down. I was not going to be a cat valet, so I added the ladder. This was simply satin poly, and that was the best choice. After about 8 years the color is just about a perfect match to other oak funishings we have with Golden Oak stain. BTW, that big old knot in the top was left there on purpose.
Thanks for looking.

My thoughts exactly…the corgi doesn’t use the steps? You sure must love your cat! That’s a fun piece of quick furniture, though. I can imagine someone breaking into your home when you aren’t there and wondering, “what the heck?”

Ms. Debbie: The up/down did work well, unfortunately “Nestle” got cancer. I still miss her. Barbs No breaking in. That includes you! (you have an invite) WMT Yeah, she needs a 3 room condo (on the other side of town).
