cedar log head board

Another log project, had some left over material from building my log stairs and decided we needed a log head board. 10” red cedar logs as post 6” top and bottom rails and approx. 3” spindles. All has been grinded,sanded, and 3 coats of finish. Mortise and tenon joints done with 2 9/16 pull bit and drawknife. Post are 54” tall and head board is about 7 ft. wide.

Beautiful piece. I love those old log looking beds. Nice job. There’s a place in Northern Mich. thats all they sell, all in red cedar. The stuff looks great and smells great too.
