Nice job Pete. I would say you matched the paneling very well. One question, why is the tv so low? I’m assuming when kids come over? Thanks for posting.

Pete Mohr,
Very nice job! I like the fact that the TV is hidden from sight when not in use. I guess that allows one to have a more formal area from time to time. Congratulations on a fine build. And welcome to Lumberjocks as well.

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

Thanks for the comments!

My wife is not a big fan of watching TV and less of a fan of exposed A/V equipment. (what can I say . . . )
So everything had to be hidden from view when not in use. Initially I was looking at installing a lift system so the TV could sit in the base and be raised up to view. Then I found out what they cost!!! ... so plan B…....

Actually it works out pretty well. I just grab a cushion or 2 and sit/lay on the floor ;-))

Now all I need to do is convince her to get a new TV to fill up all that extra space…......
