My shadow box

Well after months of contemplating what exactly I wanted for my own retirement, thanks to RobEK I chose this table. I’ve made hundreds of different types of shadow boxes over the years, but this is my first actual table. I poured my heart and soul in this one and even made the legs. Table is walnut and curly maple finished with 4 coats of wipe on poly. I think it turned out awesome. Thanks again to RobEK for all the information and help. Comments welcome.

It’s very creative and nicely done.

Nice man. My wife is in the AF and I’m constantly getting requests to build coin racks and shadow boxes. This is one of the best examples I’ve seen.

Well done! I really love the detail and maple accents, it shows how much pride went into this. Thanks for your service, best wishes to you in your next endeavours.

I’m a AF retiree myself and this is one of the best and most unique examples of a shadow box I’ve seen. Big time props!!
