This is a murphy bed that I finished in April 2016. It has an added “Studio Desk” that stays level as it transitions into a bed. What is great about it is you can keep everything on the desk when the bed is in use.

The face we carved in a Razorback and then outset a carved piece that had the word “Razorbacks” on it as a handle. Both of the carvings, I came back and highlighted the carved out section with red paint.

The bookcases we wanted extra depth so I made them deeper then the bed section and outset the lights. This allowed deeper items like printers and scanners to be placed behind the door.

Wood Type: Maple/Poplar

Bed Hardware: Spring Wall Bed

Desk hardware: Studio Desk
