Well as we all know Christmas time is quickly approaching. At the carvers guild I am a member of, they have a Christmas banquet. At the banquet we have an ornament exchange. Well unortunately I was unable too finish it before the exchange.
Although I did get it finished I think its a BellyFlop plain and simple. The red did not come out as I had planned and over all I was less than pleased with it….there for dubbed the name {BellyFlop}.
I carved the cage the snow man sits in from Bass/limewood and the snowman i turned on the lathe.
The cage is finished in 5 coats of engine clearsanded smooth as a babys booty and then 2 coats of color then 2 more coats of clear. Snow man was painted in acrylics.
Thanks for taking the time to see what I call a BellyFlop.
Enjoy it Roberta it’s all yours.
Merry Christmas to All the LJ’s.

If this is what you call a flop I would like to see what you call a homerun…

Merry Christmas to you too Jim, it’s the thought that counts and you obviously think a lot about others to give of yourself.

I like it. But don’t tell my wife. She would make me make one, and I don’t have time.
