Created for a benefit auction for a homeless shelter and rescue mission for men. Outside was intentionally beat up and rough and then the inside was smooth with another nice clean box with a cross on the top. Signifying the change that can happen in these men’s lives by the grace of God.

no better way to get a message across than art. You nailed this one perfectly. signifiying change and self-confidence.
Is that a licence plate on the top? maybe a map?

Kevin,
Very nice work and the thought behind the two boxes is awsome. It warms my heart to know there are thoughhtful people out there looking out for the unfortunate here in KC. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Beautiful, in handiwork and meaning. I love the message of change and was looking for a good project to make for a friend; this would signify perfectly. Thanks for the inspiration and your blessed work and service.

Getneds, yes the top insert is a portion of a license plate. I had to scuff and scratch and rub paint on it to get the old beat up rusty look I wanted. The small lettering is just rub off type.

Beautiful design and very well thought through. Does the inside box float or is it anchored to the bottom center of the outside box?
Great box and a kudos to you for helping our displaced and temporarily lost people Kevin.

Inside box floats. Designed to come out. If I were doing it over I think I would fit it tight russian stacking box style, although I like the daintier feel of it at the size it is.
