Arizona Mesquite, Walnut, Juniper, Oak

The mantel is the project that I am posting about. It is mesquite, the dimensions are roughly 72×12-16X4 inches thick. Mesquite is great to work with, hard on the tools, but then end result is magnificent.
I have mesquite, juniper, black jack oak, arizona walnut. I mostly cut natural edge because that is the type of furniture I like to make. I am located in Tucson, Az.

Very nice slabs! I love the Arizona walnut, it’s always nice to cut something other than mesquite! Chainsaw or bandsaw?

You found yourself some nice looking wood. There is nothing like narly buts and figured crotches when selecting the wood to use on a project.

I am now located in glendale, Az. If anyone is interested in slabs give me a call at 602-319-7968. I have a few thousand slabs dry at all times.
