This is the Bar top I just completed for my home bar I’ve been working on. It’s a built up bar, 3/4 inch maple ply as the sub strate, with 4/4 Red Oak as the top. I added the chicago style Bar rail. The top I made by jointing 6” wide stock, and alternating the grain curling up and down. The drip rail on the back is banded with red oak joined to the maple ply by a full lenght dado. Five coats of high gloss long oil Poly to finish. What to you think? did I do ok?
