I’ve admired and saved several of the projects that Jim Jakosh posted using birch sections. I was inbetween projects and needed to do something. It was a fun little thing to build. I gave to my wife for a decoration in the house. I’m pretty sure she likes it by the grin on her face.

Say, Bob, that’s a really nice bird house. Very nice indeed.

Now you just need to put some of those little candles inside it like from your other recent project :-)

I forgot to mention that the boards are just a couple of piece of left over cedar fencing. I used leftover redwood colored deck stain. I love doing simple projects on the cheap!

If I were a bird I’d be proud to live there. My dad makes them with other woods, but birch looks the best. Not much of that around here.

Hey Bob,

Stellar job on the bird house….I’ve seen a few houses made like that. I’m like Bill….Not hardly any Birch trees around here to build one…But it sure does look natural…I have a few houses up, and right now I have mountain bluebirds building nest in mine…..Keep up the good work, bud…...
