Purpleheart platter, 12 3/4”, with a small yellowheart piece under a piece of granite tile. The tile and the glass dome are from a kit from Woodcraft. I used silicone adhesive to fix the tile to the yellowheart. The platter has a groove for crackers. Finished with Salad Bowl. I had made a butter dish with a dome and a small plate with a dome, then my wife saw this kit! The rest is obvious. Wouldn’t that be nice dear?

That is very fine! I wish I had more than a mini-lathe and could do one of these. Nice work.

Nice work – really eye catching. Have to hold off showing my wife (until I get a few projects out of the way) – I’ll get the same reaction :)
