Here’s a bandsaw box which I keep on my desk. The top drawer is divided into two parts. One holds paperclips, and the other part holds rubber bands. The bottom drawer houses some shop made fountain pens and rollerballs. The insides of the drawers were flocked with brown flocking.

My son and I have made many, many pens since we started turning them, most of which have been gifts, with lots of others having gone to the troops in a number of pen turning sessions at Rockler and Woodcraft. These managed to stay with me so far, but who knows? I was using one that I made at a recent meeting with a client, and he asked where I’d gotten it. When I told him that I made it in my shop, he was quite surprised, so I “gifted” it to him, and his assistant immediately asked where “hers” was, and, fortunately, I had another one with me.

I’ll have to do another pen related post, but this box was sitting right here with these pens handy.

I’m a beginner …can you turn pens on a big lath?

The box is wild.
