This bow rack is made from solid Sapele and Sapele plywood. The drawer faces and deer background are aluminum finished to look like stainless steel. The finish is 2 coats of pre cat lacquer. The pegs to hold the bows were turned on the lath and are made from solid Sapele. The left and right drawers will be drilled in a 1” grid to hold arrow heads. The center drawer will be for tools and spear parts. The back ground aluminum panel with the deer, I bet you all are thinking it is a black decal. It is not a decal. I first clear coated the aluminum with pre cat lacquer. I went on the internet and found the picture of the deer then I cut the picture on sandblasting mat on my die cutter. I applied the sand blasting mat to the panel and I blasted off the clear coat to expose the raw aluminum. Then I sprayed the panel with A 14 black patina. It looks like a small bottle of Windex. I spray a heavy coat over the design and let it sit on the design while rubbing it in with a rag for about 1 minute. It does have acid in it so it will smoke a little bit. After about a minute I hosed it down with water to neutralize the acid. When it was completely dry I sprayed a coat of pre cat lacquer over the hole panel. The header on top was also sand blasted to form the words bow hunter. This bow rack holds 8 arrows and two bows.
