The cabinet was built late spring and is made from pine and finished with 4 coats of varathane. The design comes from Woodsmith issue #169. My wife and I didn’t like the doors so we decided not to include that part of the design, instead I added an extra shelf and a larger edging on the shelf to match the face frame.
This is the first piece of furniture I’ve built in 10 years (and only one of many my wife has planned). Although its not my design I’m happy with the way it turn out.

Nice job!

Looks like you’ll be building alot more projects. Our wives help to motivate us.

But, one of our jocks here has a motto, and it goes like this, “When Moma wants projects, Papa gets tools.”

So you see, there’s a silver lining in the clould ;^D

Pine well done is a treat to the eyes. This is a treat to the eyes! Each compartment custom sized – very well thought through, Andy.

I like the look of this cabinet. I have it in mind to build something pretty similar, but in cherry instead. Nice job!
