This is an outdoor hutch cabinet for our covered porch. The cabinet was constructed from Angelim Pedra and the drawers from White Oak. It is finished with an outdoor oil stain. The drawer front detail is a wooden rope trim stained white. The upper part is lighted.
I was asked about the durability of this project due to outdoor use. Angelim Pedra is very weather resistant. I used outdoor glue and biscuits and or pocket hole screws and glue for all joints. On the covered porch this project will only see some blowing snow or mist. I have several Angelim Pedra arbors that have similar construction in direct exposure for five or more years with only light color change and the glue joints have held up very well.
