Hey All,
This is my first project posted to Lumberjocks! I’ve seen a lot of great work done on this site and I’ve learned a lot from many of you already and for that I just wanted to say thanks.
I’ve just recently started working on a few bandsaw boxes and I was pleased with how this one turned out, but I have to admit, the wood is what really makes it work not necessarily my skill as a Lumberjock.
The box is flame box elder with a redwood handle. Hope you all like it.

Beautiful box… I need to make a bandsaw box eventually. I have this fairly new bandsaw and haven’t had a piece of wood big enough to make a box from yet.

CKM, Welcome aboard.
A great first post. I am looking forward to working on some bandsaw boxes in the near future. This one is very good and the wood is a great choice.

Boy you got a great piece of box elder with all the red in it. Very nice job on the bandsaw box too. I have to try to make one of them someday.

Thanks everyone for the comments. It sure is a nice piece of wood and I’m glad that I was able to show so much of the red throughout the box.
