Here is an art piece I made from some wood I found at an estate sale and a buoy that was found on the beach. The wood is mahogany. I used all hand tools for the joinery and milling. I used a stanley #3, grizzly #5, and stanley #6. The finishing was done with a card scraper and then I sprayed lacquer for the clear coat. The post hanger was also made from mahogany and shaped by hand. The mortise was cut by hand and the tenon on the table saw.
