This is a new table I made in a class a couple weeks back, finally got around to finishing it up. Legs are out of the mahogany family and the top is maple. Finished with 3 coats of Velvit oil everywhere, plus 2 coats wipe on poly on the table top and 1 coat paste wax. This is my favorite project to date for sure, had a lot of fun with it.

That’s some gorgeous wood, and a great job putting it together!

Good job, and beautiful grain. Whatever you put on it really brought out the grain. jockmike

Great table. I can’t say I’ve ever heard of velvit oil. Where does one find such?

Beautiful!, nice clean lines, the top sets it off, the legs draw the eye to the top – very nice craftsmanship! look forward to seeing your next!

Hi Matte;

That is an elegant looking table. Very graceful, nicely done. Beautiful woods.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

lclashley: Velvit oil is a penetrating oil finish, I only know of one place locally to find it, but I believe they have a website velvitoil.com or something similar that might help you find it in your area.
