Cherry coffee table

Another project for my daughter. It’s cherry, and its much like a table she was in a catalog. I changed us the legs a little bit and re-sized it to fit her living situation. I felt like the top needed to be thicker also, so I used 5/4 lumber an smoothed it down to a solid 1” thick. I’ve never worked with cherry before, and I was a little bit leery of blotchiness, so I used some of Charles Neil’s Pre-Conditioner, and I have to say it works EXACTLY as advertized.
I finished it off with General Finishes Arm-R-Seal. After a few coats, it’s as smooth as silk.

Lookin’ good Thone. Cherry is my favourite material. I usually give 2 coats of DIY Teak oil/WOP and 3/4 coats water bace Varithane. Your table looks very nice. Well done.
