The school, where I used to teach, holds a fund raising event every year. Faculty and community members donated items for a silent auction. The money goes to help off set the travel costs of the students who participate in regional and nation contests. Our school has been fortunate to have had several national winners in the various student organization’s contests.

This was supposed to be a salad bowl but I think it is a too little shallow. Made from part of the old Maple tree we had removed from our back yard. The salad tongs are bent, laminated cherry left over from the serving tray project- previously posted. All items were finished with several coats of pure mineral oil.

Thanks for looking-

Comments and criticisms are always welcome.

Lew: A great looking salad bowl and tongs.

Good luck on the auction.

Nicely done. It looks like it would be nice to hold some chips or veggie appetizers too.
