I have only been a turner for a couple of years. I work at a golf course in Cabo San Lucas and saw this symbol for the golf course and wanted to take on the challenge of creating this bowl.

Bowl has 580 pieces walnut and maple. Hours to make 120 hours to make.

Very, very nice. It’s amazing sometimes how we get our inspiration for projects. Well done Dave and welcome!

Very attractive and certainly a unique design. All that work certainly paid off.

Very unique design. Can you explain how you made that design?

HI JULIAN EACH OF THE PIECES WITH WALNUT IS LAMINATED BOTH SIDES THEN MITER CUT THEN LAM BOTH SIDES AGAIN. EVERY PIECE HAS GOT TO BE EXACT OR THE WHOLE DESIGN WILL NOT GO TOGETHER AND TIMES THAT TIMES 6. IT WAS NOT DONE WITH THE AIDE OF ANY SOFTWARE. I WROTE DOWN EACH STEP THAT IT TOOK TO DO THE FEATURE RING AND IT TOOK 3 PAGES TO DO SO. THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY ON MY BOWL CABODAVE
