We had picked up the phone and it was my oldest son. I wondered what he meant when I answered and he said “Hey grandpa”....well….
I built this for soon to be granddaughter. Thats what started all this “sawdust making”. So this is the 1st piece I did.

thanks all, I should have noted that was a few years ago…..the oldest is 7 and the youngest is 3 now. I will post the latest of what my wife and I did for Christmas. Emma, the oldest, also did her first project this year. She and I built a bird house.
Thanks again guys….your too kind….

That is very cool. I think grandkids are the best excuse for making stuff.

Great looking rocking horse. It’s nice being forced to build something – “Hey Grandpa”!!

There is nothing like the satisfaction of making a toy or furniture for kids. This will be cherished for a long time. Great first project. I hope to see more.

I made a little box for my grandson and I’ll never forget the twinkle in his eye when he said thanks grandpa. Nice project. She’ll always remember and maybe pass it on. jockmike
