My first attempt at a Wedgie Sled and the first set of segments I cut with the sled… The sled, saw stop and segment deflector are all made from 3/4” MDF. I’ve very happy with the results.

My bad, I meant to give cudos to Jerry Bennett for his Wedgie Sled idea, “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Yl-qDN1HtI&list=PL3WYC-Ddv72AV0H0dSCHZHmXmHhknarbD to Dave Mueller for his build video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E45244qX1PM and to Frank Howarth for his modification ideas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSn5P3QDcRU.

And so the fun begins.
Looks good to me.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

The wedgie sled makes segmented work even more enjoyable. Good luck.

Did you make your own wedges as well, or did you buy them as well? Working w segments is on my to-do for the summer and I’ve been trying to determine my best point of entry.

Jerry Bennett came up with the idea, Frank Howarth came up with some design modifications. The downside to Howarth’s sled, you can’t cut canted pieces.

I have some wedes on order from Seg Easy. For the first test run, I simply used a 30, 60, 90 protractor I had in my shop and set the wedgie sled to 30 degrees.
