i made this bed for my son, who is quit a large fellow. it is all out of pine 2×10’s, 2×4’s, 1×10’s and 1×8’s. there is no fancy joinery, just screws with with wooden plugs hiding them. the drawers are 16” wide by 3’ deep so there is plenty of storage. it has 3/4’ plywood decking, so there is no sag. this had to be built in shop, partialy disassembled, carried in then reassembled. the color is gunstock with 5 coats of poly.
projects coming up are jewelry boxes out of walnut, maple and cedar and those definetly are way more time consuming it seems than the big items and a whole lot more headscratching goes on with the smaller stuff.
