A box with more

Another box from my favorite wood, mai pradue. This one has a secret drawer that is unlocked by sliding the horizontal trim piece at the back of the box (pic 6) The lid handle was hand rasped/carved out of a piece of unknown native Thai wood. A great place to keep the keys/ gate locks and stash a bit of mad money.

Finish is hand rubbed paste wax.

This is one of a pair of twins, the first box was a commissioned piece. Decided 2 were almost as easy as 1 to make.

Thanks for viewing

Nice job, I like hidden drawers, ect. How did you make the woden hinges so small?
