In our kitchen there is not alot of room for well everything. Where we keep our vitamins is on top of the microwave. From time to time they would fall of the back, front and or sides. Got tired of fishing them from behind and off the sides. This fits perfectly on top of the microwave and makes where you can pull off the top of the microwave. Wanted to paint this but the fiancee said she likes it as is.

Good use of space . You’ll probably want to apply some type of finish to it to prevent normal kitchen staining and just the oils from your skin will eventually discolor the wood . Some satin poly would probably do the trick for you while keeping the natural color for your F to enjoy. Just a thought : )

Great idea….it seems around my homestead that we are always trying to find more space….I have built 2 storerooms and the fill up as I built the shelves. I would concur with Dusty though that you should put a least a sealer on it in order to protect from spills….some of those vitamins can dye and/or eat into the wood. I would opt for a coat or two of poly at min…...but matching to the kitchen decor would have more advantage….

The grain on that ply is very nice….it would look awesome with some dye….would really make it pop…
