Just finished my eastern cedar cooler chest today! Used a plan online with some modifications. I am a beer lover and have a collection of beer tap handles so I came up with the idea of finding one to use as the actual handle for the cooler lid. I found a Budweiser handle I had that seemed to fit the bill, made two small brackets and countersunk 2 bolts and tightened it up. I think it turned out pretty good and think it makes the box pop, hopefully it actually looks as good as I think it does, I’m a tad biased! Thanks for looking and feel free to let me know what you think. As far as the rest of the box goes it was fairly straight forward. it was kind of a pain trying to have the wood match but it was worth it in the end.

Beautiful work. I’ve got to do one of those lift the countertop and the lid opens on the cooler on an outdoor media center and bar I have to build. It’s a large YETI cooler and I can’t recess the lid into the top.

Very nice. Love the handle idea.
Well done.
